Trimble and Topcon GPS
Our company is conscious of the rapid changes in technology and we are in the fast lane to implement the latest technology to improve our efficiency in providing the best services to our customers. We make use of both Trimble and Topcon brand GPS to layout work on sites as well as guide our equipment.
With this kind of technology, we can easily measure, calibrate and control our cutting and grading with great efficiency and accuracy. We are therefore able to cut complex contours with ease, avoid over digging and enhance safety by minimizing the risk of using people in proximity to equipment.
Drone Program
Canby Excavating Inc. developed and implemented a drone program in 2018, enhancing the company’s ability to manage projects. The program continues to develop with the rapidly evolving regulatory requirements associated with the commercial use of drone technology.The company has two Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) certified drone pilots.
Drones are used to fly the various projects giving project managers and project superintendents an aerial view of work production at any given time. They allow company inspectors to fly projects reducing the amount of time an inspection requires while providing video and still photographs of current job sites. They are also used for erosion and sediment inspections cover large project boundaries efficiently, quickly identifying any areas of concern that require maintenance.
Each new construction site has unique challenges and drone technology has proven to be a valued resource in the successful outcome of each project.
